Types of Squadrons
There are seven Civil Air Patrol squadrons in Orange County, California and three distinct styles of squadrons. Review the information on this page to discover the type of squadron that right for you!
CADET SQUADRONS
Cadet squadrons consist of youth members (ages 12 to 18). (Adult members serve in cadet squadrons in a leadership/advisory capacity.) CAP cadets participate in a year-round program where they fly, learn to lead, hike, camp, get in shape and push themselves to new limits. The program transforms youth into dynamic citizens and aerospace leaders through a curriculum that focuses on four elements: leadership, aerospace, fitness and character.
